Introduction to the historical development of refractory castables

Words:[Big][Medium][Small] Mobile Page Two-Dimensional Code 2018-10-15

The castable is a granular and powdered material made of refractory material and is composed of a certain amount of binder and moisture. It has high fluidity, is suitable for casting, and can be used to harden the amorphous refractory without heating. It consists of refractory aggregates, powders, binders, admixtures, water or other liquid materials. · can be cast at the site of use by pouring, vibrating or tamping, or it can be made into prefabricated parts.

Introduction to refractory castables

Brief history:

Refractory castables are the main types of unshaped refractory materials. In the United States during the Second World War, refractory castables were used as shaped brick substitutes for boilers or oil production equipment. Japan began research and production of such materials in 1950. In the early 1950s, the Soviet Union began to apply Portland cement refractory castables.

Since the 1960s, unshaped refractory materials have developed rapidly. By the 1990s, the output of unshaped refractories in Japan, the United States, Germany and other countries has accounted for more than 1/3 of the total refractory output, while refractory castables accounted for 40% of refractory materials. %-50%. China began to apply Portland cement refractory castables in the early 1950s. It was called heat-resistant concrete at the time. It was mainly used for thermal structures below 700 °C (sometimes 700-1200 °C). Aluminum was widely used from 1965 to 1975. Calcium cement cement and phosphate refractory castables, then called refractory concrete, increased the temperature to 1400-1600 ° C. During this period, the product production base was built. In 1976, the product standard was established. After 1976, the product types increased rapidly. The quality has also gradually improved. In the middle of the middle of the year, China developed a new generation of refractory castables, including low-cement, ultra-low cement and cement-free refractory castables, whose quality is close to the international advanced level.
